Peugeot 306 D-Turbo 1997 phase 2.
Hi there,
I'm looking at ways of getting a bit more power out of my car without altering the turbo.
I have already fitted a K & N air filter which has made no noticeable difference, although fuel consumption has improved.
My question is...........How much benefit could I expect to gain by fitting an induction kit.
Kind regards,
Gary.

About as much as you got by fitting the K&N.

The only way any mods are going to increase the power is by improving the air intake, you then have to match that by increasing the fueling. You already have a turbo which is designed to increase the air input dramatically so anything else you do is not going to be very effective. The easiest way to increase the power is by opening up the pump a bit but to much will make it smoke.

Thanks for that.
As my car is fitted with the 'conrod failure speciality' engine (ie DHY), I didn't really want to go down the fuel pump tinkering line.
I was hoping to gain some noticeable increase in performance by making the thing breathe a bit easier, but it would appear not!
Thanks again,
Gary.

If it was that easy, the manufacturer would do it;I'm suprised that the air cleaner made any difference-the one you took off must have been well dirty.

The turbo will suck in air until the boost reaches it's pre-set limit. NOTHING you do to the intake tract will affect that one iota.
Increasing the boost setting on a DHY would be..... Unwise....

Thanks for the advice everyone.
I think I'll leave it as it is.
