99 1.2 Help! Radio question - Gems_2008
Hey,
I know there's already a few threads about this but I'm wary about fiddling with my radio unless I know what I'm doing.

I have a 1999 Ford Ka and I have the fascia and the wire adaptors and the removal pins. I'm getting a radio off my friend and as far as I know there isn't that big grey box thing on it (the cage?) So can i fit the radio without the cage or will I need to use the old Ka one that I've taken out already? If so how?

Also, I've heard things about radio codes, will I need one of them? Apparently you get the serial number off the radio cage but all I have is my old one? HELP!

Try an Ebay search for Ka fascia, that should give you a clue for what you require, they have a full kit for adapting your fascia. Or go to Halfords or a car stereo specialist, they should be able to sell you what you need, or at least point you in the right direction.

Cheers

Thanks CBG, but I've already been to Halfords, and I have the fascia, and everything else. I was just reading elsewhere online that I may need a code for my cd player?

Doh, I really should learn to read the OP properly before replying, sorry.
Go to your local car stereo shop and ask them what you need, you wont necessarily have to buy from them but they are normaly helpful enough. If you need a code they may also be able to sort it or at least point you in the right direction.
