Honda Civic R - acrabat
Hello to the group.
I am about to go and order a civic R type within the next 5 days.
Just in case I am making a big mistake I thought it wise to check with the regular readers of this forum.

My questions to the group are:
1. My last car was a golf vr6, the short test drive I have had only tells my that it feels slightly quicker. Anyone out there with experience of both? How is the Honda to live with? The golf was mega dear to run, is the Honda the same?

2. My old man has an Impreza turbo and is always bragging. How does the Honda stand up to the scooby? (I would love an impreza but they are just to expensive.)

3. Any horror stories?

Civic R should be a damn quick compare to the VR6. It likes high revs so maybe you ain't driving it right.

Oh and Scoobies and the ilk are for people with very little imagination suffering a mid-life crisis OK?
You could get one secondhand in excellent nick for the same price as your new type R. (Unless of course you are a new car fetishist)
