Hi All
For the last few weeks, I've been getting a 'chirping' sound from somewhere either under the bonnet or near the front left wheel.
It tends to come and go and is worse over bumps. It's also less noticeable when the weather's hot. Plus doesn't happen for the first mile of driving each day.
I did run into a large pothole on the front left a few weeks ago and subsequently found my front left track rod end was leaking grease, so got this replaced.
It does sound like something's still not properly lubricated, though.
I've put lots of grease on the suspension parts, but this made no difference. I also took the car to my local garage and they checked underneath the car and told me they think the squeak is caused by the fuel lines under the bonnet. They have ordered some new clips but they have not yet arrived.
Thing is, I've already paid out £50 and will have to pay more for them to fit the clips - but I'm pretty sure they're not the cause of the noise. The fuel lines do seem to make a small sound but nothing like as loud as the 'chirp'.
Before I go back to the garage again, does anyone have any ideas please on what the cause could be?
Thanks in advance

I've known flexible exhaust joints to chirp.

These cars have a habit of making noises when the aircon gas is low, could it be aircon noise?
