I am playing with one of these circa 1973,off a lawnmower.
non starter, fuel but no spark, does anyone know what the output from the magnetron should be? No model number.

Absolutely no idea, however the last time I tinkered with one of these engines with no spark - make sure magneto is clean, also the coil. I used a wire brush. Settings for the points on the model I played with were 16 thou.

I believe our Phillipino correspondent knows a bit about dodgy two-strokes built in Milwaukee...(ducks under parapet)

I have tinkered with dozens of these engines in my time. In my experience if there is no spark it is invariably the condenser/contact points that need cleaning and setting. I have never had a magneto fail. If you remove the magneto for any reason, the clearance round the flywheel is important. Use a piece of thin card.
Good luck
