Motor Show 2008 exhibitors - Greenslade
I'm considering travelling up to Docklands to attend Motor Show 2008. I was quite impressed with the 2006 show, although in the summer heat, the air con/ventilation was struggling badly.

Reviewing the list of exhibitors on the official site, there appear to be a few notable absences. For example:

BMW (they had a large outdoor stand in 2006, but I believe had previously not got involved at the NEC).
VAG
Volvo

Does anyone know whether the website is simply out of date, or are the above genuine 'no shows'?

I ask because, perhaps unusually, I've no particular interest in gawping at supercars. I use the events to have a good look at vehicles I might one day think about purchasing.

Anyone else going? It's next week. I have free tickets from Shell but don't know whether it's worth the hassle and crowds just to see a crowded spot-lit car park.

I'm going Friday for the day; have enjoyed the past two shows hope this one is as good. Worth going for the 4x4 experience thing, quite good fun going up the high inclines and through the water

I maybe considering taking Dad with me, but not wether to travel by car or by train.

The last british motor show I went to was 2004 at the NEC by the way.
