97 1.4 Brake light comes on when going down hill. - kja96
The brake light on our Fiesta has started coming on periodically when travelling down hill (eg, when coming out of a multi-story car park). We're taking it in to be checked over today, but what would be the most likely cause of this?

When you say "brake light" do you mean the warnign light on the dash, or the brake lights themselves?

If the former, then it could be that the brake reservoir under the bonnet is low and needs topping up with brake fluid.

If the latter, then a mis-alligned brake pedal switch.
