Procurator Fiscal Office could not produce calibration test on laser gun!

I assume all the other drivers caught that day should get off as well?

That's how "Mr. Loophole" works-just takes the Police thro' their procedures-most times they've cut corners.

Why are the corners being cut?

When parliament passes a new law it lays down certain procedures that must be adhered to in order for a case to be proved. The police and the CPS are fully aware of this, and if they stuff up the evidence they only have themselves to blame.

And since time in memorial it what makes some days in Court fun. PCSOs are my personal favourite.

However there has been a huge change in recent years and the Police are far more professional now than they were both in the preparation and presentation of cases.

Of course there are a breed of people that never make professional errors. I'd love to meet one sometime.

there are many angles a mistake could be made, e.g:

initial police officer dealing
police vehicle technical support worker
police case file civilian support worker and/or management
CPS civilian support worker and/or management
CPS lawyer

but of course it is far easier to state it's the "police's" fault isn't it

(unsure of Scottish equivalents, but i'd imagine there is something vaguely similar at least)

i made a few mistakes with paperwork that helped motorists get off.....when that happened like the motorist we just classed it as it being their lucky day, i have to admit though back then the 6 month calibration test loophole was relativly unknown.

the only real unforgivable mistake made by a police officer in anyones book would be to mess up a breathylizer test allowing a drink driver to walk away scot free all the other stuff is niether here nor there in the grand scheme of things
