No car - I feel naked... - Wee Willie Winkie
The 406 went in for a service this morning - had the call to say a return pipe from the fuel filter has snapped off during service. No part available until Tuesday apparently.

How naked do I feel without my car? I've even looked in to hiring a car in the meantime but they all seem a little expensive....

Tuesday?? Everything else apart, you might get one via Firstchoice or Ebay for Friday!

Already thought of that but nothing particularly bargainous on ebay near me at the moment....

Firstchoice, then? An e-mail costs nothing, and you'll know whether someone's got one in about 30 mins... usu. 24hr delivery.

(sorry, "1stchoice" - I have had successful dealings with some of theit members).

If you have to use a bus you will feel worse than naked.

I had to get one a couple of years ago, after about thirty years abstention, and everyone was looking at me (well, it felt like that).

In my experience Renault Espaces are really good for enhancing your personal fitness levels. When I had one a few years ago I had to get very used to regularly using a combination of walking and my bike. Never been in as good shape since ! Start pedalling DB ;-)

Hmmm... I didn't get a car till I was in my thirties. Didn't realise I'm a reformed naturist.

They broke it so where is the courtesy car. Regards Peter

Bad luck Shoespy - we had an Espace when the children were small and it did 124,000 miles from new (in 1988) and never let us down. I still remember seeing 123456 on the odometer just before it was replaced (by an equally reliable Safrane).

And the excellent Renault garage (Cross Roads in Oxfordshire) were one of the firt to provide free courtesy cars when it was in for service. I had 7 big Renaults in a row- no regrets.

I agree with Peter D - the garage broke the car, so they should provide a courtesy car for you.

Am without my car too. Done loads of cycling these past two weeks and haven't enjoyed it to be honest.Which is a shame as I used to race on my push bike and be in a cycling cub.

Bus timetables suggest to me it would take longer to get places by bus than by bike, in this neck of the woods.

Hope you get your car back soon.

It's a 130k hack so I suppose they could argue that the part was worn in the first place? Not sure I could argue it was their fault.....
