A Dorchester Crown Court judge ruled that paperwork for the speed limit was invalid because the zone was said to run from Seatown Road' - but the appeal revealed there was no street of that name and that the street in question was really called Duck Street.

Question for PU I guess. Are they liable for any consequential loss? Whilst it could extend to £000s if somebody lost their job thro accumulated points, what is the situation for smaller amounts eg additional insurance premiums incurred for example?
My father was done on this camera I believe at 02.00 for 37mph in 2004. His insurance broker was vaguely amused when told of the transgression, they could not envisage a boy racer of 84 out at that time of night.

There's a camera at each end of Chideock - I think the one in this story is on the east, ie Bridport side of the village. If that helps anyone's memory...

I do hope that publicising their location does not result in their being put out of use by some anti social element.
