97 2.0 petrol when should fan cut in ? - Andy hhh
Just got a petrol 2L p reg estate V40
The engine temp is digital but today while sitting still it went to 97c

The fan wasn't on to my knowledge. I popped the bonnet and flicked air con on and one fan started.

What temp should the other one cut in at?

my guess would be 90 degrees check with a haynes manual.

The highest that I've seen is 119C before the fan came in. [An engine ECU controlled one.] 97C is nothing.
