Hi,
I have a Ford Focus 1.6 sports with original Fords CD player,today i switched off the engine,and when i started the car a bit later could not make the cd player work. Kept pressing the on/of switch but to no avail.
Has this happened to someone else and where do i go for repair,bearing in mind that most garages do not deal with car audio problems.

Have you checked the fuse and the power supply?
If the power supply is OK, then the problem will be with the unit. As you say, it's unlikely that the garage will want to fiddle with the CD player, but they would probably be able to recommend someone who could sort it.

You might possbily be better off buying another unit on Ebay.
There are always plenty for sale, my brother bought one a couple of years ago and it's been fine.

If the unit is dead ,make sure the security panel on the front of the radio is correctly engaged.Panel with the radio pre-set buttons.hth
