sounds like air in the fuel system possible that they disturbed some thing when they changed the glow plugs ask them nicely to have another look ,if they wont park it on there forecourt ( preffably blocking it) after they have gone home then get them to start it/move it next morning drastic but may just prove a point !
im off tomorrow to get second opinian and get codes read again is it pos that new glow plugs are no good???????????
Yes they may not work or 1 faulty, is there a feed to the plugs?

sounds like air in the system, I suspect an injector is leaking back!. You won't get a code for that so I should take it to someone who know's what they are doing!
" all Zafira's arn't like that so repairer your using i woudn't touch.

the glow plugs on this engine don't work unless the temp is below 0 degrees so non start fault is unlikely to be glow plugs not unusual to get a general glow plug error recorded in the ecu, was the original problem a difficult to start fault ?
no car was really easy to start just wait 4 light to go out turn the key and away it went garage did replace all leak off pipes to try and sort problem but made no diference
I wonder if they flexed the leak-off hoses when fitting the plugs - they're probably getting fragile and any leak can cause drain-back over time.
New hoses are pennies - worth a try?

well ive just came back from another garage where i got a second opinion and they found that 1 glow plug was not working it was bend at the end and had been cross threaded so not a happy chappie
With the new plug is all well?
garage cant fit me in till wednesday they have got to retap the thread to put another set in fingers crossed the dont bodge this up like the first time round
still no car garage had since tuesday morning no im told at least another week wat a joke
well got car back thursday was told it was a leak off pipe and it was all ok ,but broke down today and wont even start well peeed off!!!!!!!!!!! so rac taken car to garage and parrking across there fourcourt so they got to move it
oh no just been told by garage its the fuel pump and it will need a new one and it will have to be set up by vauxhall and the cost could be as much as £1900 ouch
Can sympathise Rob, I have just posted a question regarding fuel injection pump which is combined with the control unit on our model. Vauxhall have just quoted me £1680 + vat for the unit plus £375 + vat for labour. Have found a supplier who will give me a non-coded unit for £1250 + vat but local garage think that would still need Vauxhall to code it so back to the main dealer again. If you get quoted better or find an alternative to Vauxhall doing the job would be interested to hear about it. (anotherjohn)

Your garage sound like a bunch of incompetents. After their treatment they would never see me again.

What model did you px it for and does it run ok ?

i have just been told that i need a new pump, glow plugs, injector seals, something called a handyman valve and something else to get my zafira going. mechanic estimated £2500 for parts alone. this is maybe more than my car is worth. think i will sell it for breaking. body and interior very good so might get a few hundred quid
