Can I run my 110bhp chipped to 143bhp, 1999 V reg passat tdi on vegetable oil?
Do I need to dilute it with with normal diesel? Will there be any longer term damage. Currently on 165K miles.
Or will it not work at all and screw up the engine?
Thanks in advance.

Marcus,
A good friend of mine used to run a 1999 Audi A4 1.9 tdi (90bhp) on 50% veggie oil in summer mixed in the tank with diesel, no veggie oil in the winter because of the increased viscosity due to low ambient air temps. He had no problems at all.
My brother in law used to run his old Fiat Bravo diesel on 100% veggie oil in the summer and normal diesel in the winter, again with no problems. It's your choice...........

I ran my Passat 110 (also chipped to 143 - Simon Coe?) on a mix of 50/50 - all declared of course) in the summer. No ill effects - but I suppose it depends on how long you intend on keeping it.

Funny that, a car running on veggie oil that's been chipped! Do you get a protion of cod and salt and vinegar as well.
