I have a fuel stop solenoid fault on my peugeot 306 td 1998 's' reg, Think its XUD type with a lucas pump.
New solenoid costs £300 from peugeot (its the 3 pin type with the immob built into it, can only get a new one as they are a one shot type)
Does anyone know where i can get one cheaper?
Could i use one from a earlier 306 (single wire type) and just put an ignition feed to it?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Many thanks.

YES.
You can even run with the solenoid plunger removed, trouble is you have to get out in the rain to stop the engine.
Everythign PUG is expensive $200 for heater hoses, $70 for lower radiator hose, $150 for fog lights.

Everythign PUG is expensive $200 for ....
Was putting $ a typo, and you meant to have used the £ symbol?
EDIT - ignore, I see from your profile you're from Australia which is why you're not quoting uk currency.

Macca, best to ask the seller on this one. If this isn't the one you need he may have it for sale elsewhere?

Heaps of fuel stop solenoids on ebay but only single wire.
Can anyone explain how the immobilser is supposed to work.
I have a thread elsewhere about the differences between XUD 110 pump and XUD114 pump as fitted to D8A and DHY engines.
I hope my engine does not have an immobiliser fitted.
It stops after 5 minutes and I attributed that to the loss of 12V to Stop Solenoid after a water heated switched opens up.
Looking at the wiring ..

I had a 205 diesel whose stop solenoid went (opens when you turn the key to make the thing drive like a petrol car, so fails closed). At the Peugeot dealer, after telling me the eye-watering dealer price, the young bloke looked over his shoulder and then murmured the name of a local diesel specialist where the same part exactly was priced at half the amount or less.
