98 1.6 knocking steering? or drive shafts? - blondfeet
when reversing car on full lock I get loud knocking noise from left hand wheel area, some times right. It sounds like the drive shaft is binding up, Any one know what's wrong, or how much its going to cost. thanks

id probably say the cv joint, quite common on 306's

I had a loud knock coming from my front left when parking. While turning the wheel towards full lock (Either way).

Changed the shocker/Spring unit and that was it. Cost me £15 for the whole unit from the scrappers... Only hard bit was splitting the link from what I believe is the anti roll bar.
