(95-00) Heater blower speeds. - adrian6
Can anyone please remind me of the name of the resistor which fits in one of the heater air hoses? Its the one which controls the fan speed - at the moment we've only got speeds 3 and 4. I've replaced this item once, years ago, but now I can't remember what it is called so as I can order one. Many thanks!

people call it different things but "heater blower motor resistor pack" should get you the right part when you come to get it from your local parts dept.

adrian,really easy to fit a resisitor on your civic when you get it,just drop the glovebox lid off,& the resistor pack is staring you in the face,2 phillips screws,unclip the multi-plug from it & out it comes.

Brilliant, I've just lost speeds 1 and 2 and was about to embark on ripping out the switches from a Honda in a scrap yard. I think I'll try this method first.

I replaced mine (1.8 vti) with a rezpak from ebay) and it was cheap and worked.
