2007 1.2 - Courtesy lights stay on when locking - Galad
SWMBO's Corsa 1.2 petrol is just 6 months old and she's having (minor) problems with the locking system. The courtesy lights stay on after locking and also at time when driving the car. To avoid draining the battery (there are 4 footwell and three sets of overhead lights) I've removed the fuse. Since the car was delivered the double locking system has been erratic sometimes refusing to double lock but the lighting problem indicates something that needs attention. Anyone any ideas? I'll bring it back to the dealers but I'm not confident that this is something they can put right the first time.

Before I pulled the fuse SWMBO noticed that the courtesy lights flickered on and off going over bumps! A loos connection somewhere?

Cheers

Probably not a straightforward as it looks; but the doorlock switch contacts are the first things that come to mind.

Still; it's under warranty - leave it to the dealer to sort.

Thanks Screwloose. I can't wait to find out how many visits to the dealer are in store to get this one sorted out. There's so much to be said for old-fashioned, uncomplicated electrics such as in my old-fashioned, uncomplicated 15 year old VW Polo - I vaguely recall having to replace a blown side light sometime during the last century............

Surely you mean the previous millenia?
