51 1.6 SE Ignition coil type and gearbox question. - kat_s1
iv recently recieved my dads civic.. last week in fact... very pleased but only 1 problem....

The gear box, ball bearings need changing and the car "hops along" in 1st/2nd gear... my motorsports teacher at coll reckons it might be the spark plugs or the ignition coil.
anyone know what kind of ignition coil is it?

is it just 1 for all 4 cylinders or a separate one for each?

what kind of ball bearings do i need 4 the gear box without taking it apart ?

Some alteration to Subject line.

See previous posts on hopping UK civics - Accelerator cable maybe at fault.
If UK civic then is one coil per cylinder situated above each plug.

Gearbox - need to be more precise, there are several bearings in a gearbox.
But what are the symptoms that make you think that the gearbox is giving problems?

And it's very unlikely there are any ball bearings in the gearbox; roller bearings perhaps. They certainly won't be accessible without taking the box apart.
But the symptoms you describe sound more like a clutch or throttle problem; did you mean the clutch bearings?
