New car not shown on the MIB website as covered. - bell boy
Wife changed her car this morning and as she likes to support our local shops she uses a good old fashioned insurance broker that works from a good old fashioned shop with glass at the front,im sure some older members on this site will remember these type emporiums before the coming of shopping malls closed outdoor markets and fast food burger shops, anyway i drift......
ive just checked on the motor insurance bureau online facilitation and her new car is not shown as insured, this may mean that until the emporium opens 10.00am sharp monday morning she stands getting pulled by the fuzzies
Her old car that i sold also this morning is as i speak insured by a local blue rinse lady via the internet .
So ,just goes to show you do your best and sometimes you shoot yourself in the foot

Subject line changed a bit !

Can take a fortnight for the details to go on. The old bill will not necessarily take the database as a definitive answer. Believe you me the information has proved to be far from accurate.

As was amply demonstrated on BBC TV "Traffic Cops" just this week. Man was stopped, no insurance on MIB, phone call to Insurance company said "not insured", car confiscated despite man protesting that he really was insured to drive that car. Voiceover at the end says "Man was later able to produce Insurance Cerificate" to prove he had been insured all along!

jbif I saw this and couldn't believe it! Considering the program was all about the advance in technology but it just showed that it didn't work!

This happens with regularity, I've already settled for money for one client, guess it'll take a high profile bit of suing before they get their act together.

Was I the only one who read the title of this thread and thought of Men In Black?

You wouldn't have if you'd read the original subject line, it would have been more like 'Men in Denim' ! :-)
