over the past couple of days the car has develped a slight judder while driving..only just detctable
then today it started on 3 clyinders and the juder turned into a very bad misfire on any load(idle ok) it can barley move under its own steam now
does that sound like the hall sender? the car has recent plugs, lead, dizzycap, arm and coil
any pointers on how to replace one if its failed

If the problem started after you fitted the new parts put the old bits back one at a time process of elimination!

Make sure your servo hose isn't leaking, iether where it joins the manifold or if its a newer polo the plastic pipe is known to rub through nearer the servo. As bell boy say's check the leads in total darkness, I suspect its a lead as very common. Did you buy lead set from dealer? . They alway's seem dear till you have to buy a proper set the second time.
