Max car width to fit driveway - Car
At somepoint may need to purchase another car as swmbo has now passed test.

Driveway down to garage pas gates has a max width of 206cm / 81 inches / 6.75 ft, which widens out to 220 cm / 86cm / 7.17ft

What would be the max width of car that would fit down the driveway without damaging the car and allow the drivers door to be opened enough for the driver to get out? if not parking car in garage.

Current car is 170.5 cm in width

It depends on the skill level of the driver!

Give us the waist measurement (or bust if larger) of swmbo or alt yours if larger! For an accurate guess inside leg would help and a statement on the the flexibility and state of your vertebrae and spinal column !

It will also depend on if 2/4 door model or if you will consider something with sliding doors, a walk thro cab (to back doors), or a soft top.

This is a wind up surely.

Carry out a measurement test using the current car, and don't forget about the exterior mirrors.

A conventional garage is 9'0" externally, so about 8'3" internally but 7'6" through the entrance.

Last car we put away in the garage was an Escort mk2 - modern cars are significantly wider, but your gap is smaller.

As said, make the comparisons with your existing car.

My Focus is 2000 mm across the mirrors and I find it difficult (but possible) to go through a 2100 wide garage door opening ~ 2100 mm doors appear to now be the norm. To be able to drive (and reverse) my Focus along a drive, and get in and out of the car, I reckon I would want a width (between solid walls/fences) of at least 2500 mm.

Even a Ka is 1830 mm across the mirrors, so (for me) that would mean a minimum drive width of 2330 mm. The OP's drive varies from 2060 mm to 2200 mm.

Appologies for not getting my facts right, driveway leads down passed the house where it is 2200 mm in width past gate posts it is 2060 in width, current car incl wing mirrors is 1890 but garage driveway leads down to garage which is 3352 in mm, so no need to get out of car when going pass house, unless it breaks down.
