01 OE Radio - NO sound output - bell boy
i have a car where every speaker has been blown absolutely no throughput from the speaker cones, are you sure yours arent the same? maybe a blown output transister on the old radio took them out ?
you can check by momentarily connecting up a 1.5 volt battery if you dont have a multimeter, the cones will move and you will hear it

cheapest place is to visit the breakers/scrap yard from a same car as yours. If you plan to upgrade them to a powerful speakers then visit halfords and car audio shops to see if they have any offers.

Sometimes the higher spec of your model has better speakers. Woth checking that out
