Put me right off my tea it did. The idea that someone goes on prime-time TV to be told how to ...... is totally staggering. Watched it long enough (3 secs) to realise that if the daughters walked in I'd be squirming. SWMBO had taken her non-private plated Focus to her mother for the night.

But some of us read this forum from work (not me, sadly: it's blocked) and it's less a question of our being offended than the jobsworths who police things.

Just want to point out that the MOT is about to check number plate legality, including:
- the obvious size/type of characters
- symbols on the left can only be legal country flags
- name and postcode of number plate maker needs to be included
Came into force on Monday I Think
