I was wondering do the newer shape focus car mats fit my older 1999 focus? or have the focus's (mk2, mk3) have different car mat sizes? anyone know the answer?

They are completely different. Ebay is your friend for stuff like this. Got a tailored set of mats for my Mk1 Focus a few years back for about £15.

so does Mk1, MK2 and MK3 focus's have different footwell etc size? wow i didn't know that?

the latest focus is a completely different car, on a new floorpan to the older focus,

Mk1 was facelifted. Samefloorpan tho & generally considered Mk1.5
Mk2 came in 2004 with completely different floorpan

I always found with previous Fords that the genuine parts were excellent and not too expensive...
