I have a megane philips 22cd379 stereo and dont know how to put the code in, i have the code but do not know what buttons to press to allow me to enter the code...
Can anyone help please.

Let's assume your code is 5432. To enter it, press button 1 on you radio until number 5 comes up on your display. Then press buttton 2 until number 4 comes up. Button 3 until 3 comes up on display. Then button 4 until 2 comes up on display.
You now have the correct code on your display.
Push AND HOLD button 6 to confirm. It will beep when it's accepted. (If button 6 doesn't confirm it, try button 5)

Ok, thanks for that but when i switch the unit on nothing comes on in the display, do you have to hold down a button when you switch the unit on so the display comes on ?

Sounds like it, is the display totally blank, in other words is there no evidence that there is power to the radio?

This is the other thing which i though, i will look into this and hopefully it is not the unit what is bust !

first thing to do is check the fuse, there may well be one in the back of the radio itself as well as the car's fuse box.

I have checked all the fuses and they are all ok. I have the display in the dash working but nothing else. I have done a voltage check on the connector on the back and power is getting through... Any other ideas?

Can you confirm the model No is 22cd379.
A quick google, and look at a radio decoding site I have previously used threw up no results.

i can confirm it is 22cd379 i have the code but like you say i can not find what buttons you need to press so you can enter the code... I have been told the unit was working 100% prior to me fitting it..
All very strange!

are you sure it's connected up properly? from memory there are 3 iso plugs, 1 power, 1 speakers, 1 for the display, the aeriel wire and a earth that pushes on the back of the stereo

yes that is the one, i have them all attached and the display light comes on, but nothing else comes on on the display...
I take it you are thinking the unit is not working fully ?
