hi i have an 02 plate 1.9dci . did a 300 mile trip home. went to move later and refused to start. engine turns but does not fire at all. does not even try. fuel is coming from pump. any ideas where i start to look ? thanks.

Be very carefull if it is fueling and not firing you could Hydo lock the engine up and bend a con rod. I would have gone for the immobiliser but you say you have fuel. Next stop may the the crank/cam sensor as this would shut down the injectors. Regards Peter

thanks. ok what do i do ? how do i check it?
we did notice the interior light when on and door lock a couple of times when driving home. we have car set up so it locks when you drive off.

just tried both keys. alarm flashing light on dash goes out when you unlock car. and goes on when you turn key for 2 seconds and then goes ok. Haynes manual says this means immobilser working ok. ?????

Hi My wife has just called to say her 2003 scenic 1.9 dci is doing exactly what you describe. Oh joy, wife and child out in a car that won't start in the middle of the back of beyond!
I hope someone has a solution :-(
