Hi Has anyone fitted bulb type fuel primer pump, as fitted to citreon etc. I am told that omega/vectra need dealer only pump to bleed pump after fiter change terry60

Terry, My 2.0 DTI 1998 vectra it doesnt need a pump after a filter change. However on its first filter change I didnt fill the filter housing with fuel and it took a lot of cranking over before it would start.
However on subsequent filter changes I have always filled it with diesel and it starts first touch as normal.
As you no doubt know there is no lift pump on these models so it relies on the injection pump to drag the diesel from the tank and it takes a long time.
Fill the housing to the brim with diesel and there is no problem.
