Hi i am thinking of increasing the boost on my 306 d turbo. I have heard if you run more than 18psi of boost you have to uprate the intercooler. Would it make a difference mounting the origional intercooler at the front behind the bumper rather than on top of the hot engine. If anyone has tuned there d turbo can you tell me what you did and what, if any difference it made. Cheers.

I've done mine by boosting to 18psi and fueling, if done properly you can save fuel if you don't use too much lead in your boot and you could get approx. 115 hp or more.
But watch your temperature on the motorway at or above the legal speed during hot weather.
A front mounted intercooler would be best by far for keeping it cool. There are several options, such as a cooler from an Xantia with other parts.
But be WARNED if you go higher than 18psi you'll blow your head gasket.
Your best bet would be to join up on the Peugeot site, which has many people who have done this and could give you advice or search the database for info. It covers all peugeots petrol or diesel.
