citroen saxo 1.1 - Altea Ego
OK well I went for a lok at a saxo 1.1 sx for junior. Its on a 98r plate. It was a bit tatty body wise ( bumps and scars etc) but honest, tho drivers door a lighter shade of red than the rest. .Lot of oil round the block front and r/h side. Dont think its the HG - if it is its not putting water into oil or pressurising the cooling system. Hard to tell if its putting oil into water as there is no real way to dip your finger into the water. HOw common is rocker cover gasket failure on these?

also how much is a cam belt change?

cheers

they tend to mist round the injector and pipes at the back more than anything
a lot of these and the earlier ax models used to put a microbe of oil in the water
never had a long term problem with it though
cambelt is cheap enough and easy but a garage will do it for £100 tops (yorkshire money)

I used to run one of these and the rocker cover gaskets do have a habit of leaking. GSF stock them or they're about £8 from the dealer.
