"The designers believe that the buyers "will be nomadic in nature too"
From the the font of all knowledge that is Wikipedia. How dreadful. But at least they don't use made up names generated by a computer (or more likely some bored spotty apprentice). Makes BMW seem unpretentious at least - and even good old British Leyland how pleasant it was in a grim, damp Midlands town to have a car called Montego with the associated imagery.

Suppose it will be a little like the Ka or K.A. or whatever - still sells though.

RUBBISH he screams
BMW has managed to get snobbery into car naming in a huge way. Is it a 5 series? oh no its a 5 series ok, but its an E46. ONly people who know its an E46 can tell the difference between an E46 and an E45 or a P60 or P45 for that matter. Its a secret code, and outsiders who dont know the code get smirked at.

Its not so strange... I think its incredibly honest, phonetically - a bit like the Skoda Felicia! (as indeed do the whole VAG group, perhaps!)
I guess their marketing director may be Irish...Welcome, the Nissan Cash-Cow!
The car, on the other hand - now that IS weird.
