Hi,

I wnat to get to the back of the radio in my BMW to fit an IPOD connector. Any idea how the trim is removed that surrounds the radio.

Thanks

Access to the radio securing screws requires removal firstly of the trim/finisher that sits above the glove box.It is a push fit (metal studs into plastic cups) .Once this is off ,then the trim above the radio can be removed.

Are they not the same as the E39 where you remove the volume control knob and use a screwdriver to turn the screwhead hidden behind it you do not have to remove any trim.

No

Could you be more precise?

No it is not the same process as in the E39.

How precise is that?

Seriously though, look at the link with photos I posted and you will see that the passanger dash trim needs to be removed to get to 4 retaining screws that hold the radio in place.
