Does anyone know if these type of things are still available?

I used to have a set of ride levellers on an SD1 V8. They were very good.
Try: www.larkspeed.com/pages/productpages/sus_monroe_me...l
for the full range of monroe shocks.

Have a browse through caravan mags?
Should be some ads for them.

Kev, I'm too embarassed to stand at WHSmith looking at caravan mags! But I did go to the Carvan Club website, but nothing on shocks though.

Perhaps you could try Sperrysprings at Worthing to see if they can beef up that funny fibreglass transverse leaf affair or replace it with a steel item.
I assume that with all the kit over the rear axle it's dragging it's tail a bit?

Yeah - I think these are still available. I'll ask at our local motor factor on Monday
What car are they to go on Dave?

It depends on your suspension set up and your budget. The best ones I've come across and I'm sure they're still available are produced by Sachs Boge and are called "Nivomat". They were OE on Volvo estates. They are fully self contained and 'pump themselves' up to assist the springs and then let themselves down after the load is removed. They don't need an external air line or on board compressor like the cheaper Monroe versions.
