Mondeo airbag ecu - rogie
Does anyone know if the airbag ecu has to be replaced after the deployment of both front airbags on an '04 Euro 4
Mondeo 130 Ghia X estate? I'm considering purchase of an otherwise relatively undamaged Category D write off and am concerned about the potential cost of pretensioners, airbags, ecu etc.

Ford airbag ECU's only require replacement after 5 incidents of bag or pretensioner deployments. It will likely need re-setting though.

Thank you for that. Do you also know if the pretensioners need replacing or just resetting and will they have necessarily fired if the airbags have?

Both the pretensioners and all seat belts in use at the time must be replaced. Pretensioners can't be reset.
