Dear All,
I'm thinking of having a LPG conversion on my Ford Escort (1.6L, 16v Zetec). I read in HJ column last week that the Zetec E engines suffered from valve seat recession, how can I tell whether mines and "E" type.
Does anyone have any advise (do it, don't do it etc.)

Search for threads with "LPG" in the subject or content - you'll find that LPG conversions are covered quite frequently here.
Why are you thinking of converting a 1.6 to LPG - is it for environmental reasons? If not and you're doing it for financial reasons, then you may want to do your sums again - unless your thinking of travelling between galaxies, it'll take a very long time to recover your initial £1K+ outlay.
