We have a 1.9 dci Scenic 2004 - Ocassionaly the automatic handbrake doesn't release on driving off. So far, this has only happened when my wife is driving alone. It has never happened to me. Is she doing something wrong? Or is this a common problem?

We have the same car and experienced the same phenomenon. I've discovered if you don't give the engine enough revs when releasing the clutch the parking brake will stay on. Releasing the clutch with a few more revs has sorted the issue.
