I have a Rover 416. 1993. Honda engine.Car fails to start sometimes when warm, yet always starts from cold. Car does not stall when running. Any ideas chaps?.

Does the starter motor turn over quickly when hot?

Starter motor doesn't seem to sound any different when trying to start. Do you think a crack in the distributor cap could be causing the problem.I tried changing it once with a second hand one and it seemed to cure it for a while,but when I bought a new one it made no difference?
