Random topic I know, but has anyone noticed how cars actually seem to settle in one position if left standing? I don't just mean the suspension either as that is obvious - I took mine out after a week parked uphill on the drive (It goes up then down onto the road) and the creaks from the interior as the chassis flexed slightly were quite noticeable!
Also, everything definitely felt better after a run, especially the steering and gearbox.

After a week!
What you describe sounds like my Punto every day of the week, especially the creaks of the suspension!

May be just the cold? I've noticed that plastc trim, door seals, etc are stiffer when the car is cold, and tend to creak a bit. Then after a few minutes they warm up, get softer, and go quiet. I don't think it's the chassis flexing, just doors, glove boxes, etc moving on their hinges a bit.

Could be! I won't pretend to know anything about car chassis dynamics. :o)
