rear 3 point seatbelts - Jon Ames
Any companies that will supply and fit three point belt to estate cars?
I'm considerring buying a Legacy but older models only have a centre lap belt, and I need a third belt for the children.

Jon

What age Legacy are you considering and saloon or estate?

1998 legacy onwards has a 3point rear seatbelt in the middle, with the estate this is non-trivial due to the folding rear seats which may not be possible to retro-fit without losing some functionality, saloon may be slightly easier.

Make sure you get an AWD model, earlier cars had the choice of AWD or FWD (front wheel drive).

Post 1998 models also have much more useable boot space due to redesigned rear suspension intruding into the boot much less.

There is always the LapAdapter, which Halfords sell for about £30, I think,

Well done, Ian. You got there before me. We're going to compile a directory of useful URLs like this one for the revamped site. I've done about five pages so far. Contributions from Backroomers will be welcome once it's up on site. It should be a very useful resource.
