Would there be any chance of putting together a country-indexed motoring links page ? Things like non-UK dealers, for-sale pages of non-UK newspapers ?
There's a fairly cosmopolitan clientelle here who must have their own favourite local links and I for one would love to compare.
Ian (Cape Town), Mark (Brazil), Randolph, Andy et al. got anything for starters ?

Believe it or not, I was considering something similar this morning on the drive to work - but based on car hire companies.
Rather than let punters go to go to Mr Hertz or Mr Avis, maybe HJ could list some small independent operators in foreign climes?
My sister and brother-in-law are presently over on holiday (with their ghastly kids), and have hired a MB C220 at a rate about 60% of that charged by the big companies!

That's a very good idea. Thank you, Kevin. Am compiling a URL directory to replace The Scratchpad for when the site gets revamped. It could include an international section. Hard to work out how we could make the international section pay, though.

Possibly have to be on a 'Gentlemans Agreement' basis with most independant suppliers. Each time someone mentions the HJ site when spending money with them, HJ gets $5.
With others you may be able to negotiate regular payment for hosting banners/generating referrals.
Weeding out 'planted' recommendations may need some thought though.
