I have an 04 espace 1.9dci. when ,i think, the fuel peddle is in a certain position or maybe the car is on a certain inclinr, the engine appears to miss, but never stalls. It has been in to the main dealer on numerous occasions and they cannot rectify it. They have fitted a new potentiomater to the fuel peddle and changed the fuel filter. Any sggestions or anyone else got the same problem?

Possibly the air mass meter.
Take it to another garage.

Do a search on the site and you will see how this vehicle has reduced grown men to tears ,you are about to enter the "Third Dimension of the Renault Rubican"if you survive with sanity intact you will be one of the brave few, most people sell them and cut their losses before the bank manager forcloses on the house the kids are taken into care the wive leaves and you are jibbering wreck drinking meths around a bonfire.

Oh and the same search will also produce the same answers from Andy on anything to do with Renault. Ask about putting air into your Renault's tyres and Andy will tell you that you will lose your house, wife and kids!

Assuming this car has done less than 60K, then it will still be under warranty. You must get this sorted out before it expires, the cost of rectifying a common rail diesel can be huge. It may be something simple. A 1.9 dCi of this age should have had the modified turbo oil feed pipes, it was the earlier ones that could cause problems. Only a Renault dealer or a very good diesel specialist has the necessary diagnostics to sort these out and this is where you ned to go again. Your dealer doesn't sound too good so find another one. Dealers can vary, the one I use is brilliant but another Renault dealer I used to use in a different part of the country was er.... well, not so good.

I think I will buy an Espace then, if this is a sure way of getting rid of wife and kids...
House would be a shame though ;-)
