Interesting lead article in this weeks MCN.
Police apparently now filming bikers at bike meets looking to identify those bikers who speed past forward facing cameras.
In an interesting twist one biker approached two guys who stated they were from South Wales police and produced police ID. Upon being contacted by MCN South Wales police insisted it wasn't them and the guys might be bike thieves posing as police officers.
Mighty curious all round.

I'd love to see that coming up in Court as evidence in a Prosecution. Totally flawed both evidentially and under Human Rights Act.,.......I can think of at least two breaches.
These biking cops weren't the ones that audidua imagined in another thread were they ?

MCN is a bigger source of mis-information than the Sunday Sport. They have come out with some classic legal coblers in the past, ie it is illegal to have a race number on a road bike, illegal to circle a roundabout more than three times, the police can use your distinctive leathers as proof to prosecute in a Gatso offence when your number plate is obscured, etc.
MCn is only good for the adverts, the rest is tosh.

Yes, as the one way road appraoching the embankment has three lanes near Earls Court, the left is taken up by parked vheicles and the guy on the bike was in the middel and we were in the RIGHT hand lane!

A couple of years ago Northamptonshire formed a special squad with a car and 2 m/cs to apprehend motorcyclists who made 'V' signs at speed cameras, which could not photograph their plates from the front. Never heard that they got any results though! Strange use of manpower and limited resources!
