Tops £3,000 to spend

must be DIESEL (doing 15,000 miles plus)

Likes 1.9 d 206 - but consider alternatives.

AIR CON is desirable.

Any advice or ideas?

Why spend £3k on a 2nd hand car when you can buy a brand new Ford Ka (admittedly getting old) for under £5,000 from your local Ford Dealer - they seem to be on clearance awaiting new model - 3 yr warranty............ must be worth considering

Because:

1. It's not a diesel

2. No air con (probably)

3. 15K p.a. in a Ka? No thanks.

You could probably get a Focus Tdi (not the best engine, but great car) for this kind of price. Or perhaps look to a Citroen Xsara - nice car, great engine. Probably be able to get a fairly low mileage one...
