Hi all,
Have a colleague who has recently bought a Rover 100, but it only came with one remote alarm/immobiliser fob.
There are lots of places selling new fobs via mail order, but I need to know how easy it is to get the new fob "coded" so that it will work.
The car is completely legit ,but the new owner wants a second fob in case the first one gets lost.
The alarm/immobilser system is the Lucas 5AS ECU system, NOT the Valeo infra red one, the fob is the two-button type and the car is on a "P" plate.
I'd appreciate any help/advice you can give.
Thanks in advance
Andy

A Rover dealer will have the equipment to code the fob.
