Well annoyed with Tesco, in that if you should fill up at a TESCO EXTRA STORE, where the fuel is supplied by Esso or whoever, other than obviously by themselves they DO NOT accept the 5p of a litre voucher. Surely if the site is owned and advertised on Tesco's web site as a petrol station they should accept their vouchers.

No, because the sites were originally Esso outlets and there were certain terms and conditions regarding Tesco taking over the shop side, including the fact that they remained Esso outlets.
You don't even get Tesco ClubCard points IIRC.
Also they are not Tesco Extra stores...:-)
Tesco Extra stores are massive (our local Extra outlet is the second in the UK turnover wise and about 200 yards in length propety wise) and I use it in preference to the Express outlet, about the same distance away but in the other direction, because of its vastly superior choice and the fact that it is a Tesco petrol outlet.

Esso decided that they don't do retailing well, so asked Tesco to run the shops while they do the fuel, and tesco said yes.

While it would indeed be nice for Esso to accept the voucher, I can't see why you'd expect it, when the petrol station clearly isn't a Tesco one.
