One of my colleagues has an R-reg Renault Megane. A breakdown-firm has told him that there is air in the cooling system.
Does anybody know the easiest way to bleed this out, please?

There is usually a bleeding valve fitted to Renaults.
Otherwise I have removed the expansion cap before with the engine running and tap/squeeze all the hoses to dislodge the air.
|
If its the same as the megane that I recently got some parts off, their will be a bleed valve on the top hose, and another one on the back of the radiator, top corner drivers side.

Why a breakdown firm and when did the air get into the system. HG comes to mind. Regards Peter

Thanks for all of the help - I'm not too sure of the details of what happened. The breakdown mechanic did a CO test so the HG should be OK.
