Yesterday on the M6 north of Preston I saw my first Chrysler 300C.
Well, couldn't miss it really - what a big, imposing vehicle! This one was in black. And as I slowly passed it and saw that grill, wow. It looks even bigger in the flesh (if you know what I mean).
I must admit, I don't really approve of imported Chryslers after the way they shut the UK and mainland Europe plants down all those years back, but maybe I've just got a long memory. Anyway it's certainly some motor.

Yeah, I've seen a couple in France now - very imposing.
It's what the RR Phantom should have been!

So THATS what it is, I saw one parked outside our local vet's the other day and thought what an imposing and ugly motor it was. I was half convinced it was something Russian; no idea :-))

I saw one when walking through Leicester city centre a few months back. It was parked up by the market place and appeared to be owned by a chap who looked like a cross between Mr T and Ali G (at least that was the chap standing by it and leaning on the opened driver's door, bellowing to one of the stall holders).
|
Just seen my first today - pulled into side of a country road in Leics but still nearly blocking it. First reaction was "that's a big so and so, what is it?" - though perhaps I should say "That's an imposing so-and-so" and reserve judgement 'til I've had a proper look. Wasn't so keen on front grill but only saw it in rear view mirror.
Can't sat whether Mr T or Ali G was driving!
What brings you to Leics, Aprilia? Can't imagine it was anything to do with cars!

I see my first 300C every morning when I open my curtains.
I've got one and I love it - and judging by the number of people who take piccies of it on their mobie phones, other folks like it as well.
Ah well, any excuse to post a piccie of my car.

I am doing some work with a Leicestershire-based company which is designing equipment for welding plastic (for use with car trim). I popped into the city for lunch and some shopping - used their P&R system from near the motorway.
The 300C was parked in the market place. Doesn't look too bad from the front, but a bit '70's American' from the back. Belongs to the design school which considers large gold watches and medallions to be stylish - if Burt Reynolds were a car etc...... Nothing wrong with that I guess, but not to my taste anyway.

I'm pretty sure that the European 300Cs are made in Austria.
|
Built in Graz, Austria, by Magna Steyr - the Euro ones that is.
|
I've seen quite a few 300Cs now, a couple in town and several on the M1; in either black, metallic grey, and one silver one. I think they look good as long as they're not too blinged up. Also seen several Cadillac CTSs, which have quite challenging looks, but its refreshing to have some variety on the roads, makes a change from all the BMs and Mercs.

Yes, it does. And its nice to see colours other than silver too.
