Mondeo air con - cutting out - DP
Noticed yesterday that the air con on our mk2 Mondeo is cutting in and out when in use.

The green "AC" light on the blower switch remains on, but I can hear (and feel) the compressor clutch engaging and disengaging.

The time between cutting in and out seems to vary, but I would say on average it's about 30 seconds to cut out and about 15 seconds to cut back in.

The air con is running nice and cold (when it's working) and one of the rad fans cuts in (as I believe it should) whenever the air-con button is pressed.

Any ideas?

Nothing wrong with it.

The hotter the weather, the longer it will stay on for, and the shorter it will go off for. Once it gets above 30 degC, it may well not cycle off at all.

Thanks Dave.

I thought it was only climate control systems that did this. This is a bum basic hot/cold dial and an AC button.
