Can anybody read the Windscreen chips post? - Big Vern
If not I cannot follow Lee H's instructions properly and must be very thick as everyone else seems to be able to get links to work!

Vern,

I can see your wording re. "I wish I hadn't...etc".

Was there something else?

Stu.

Re: Can anybody read the Windscreen chips post? - pete
It was explained poorly for all to understand , i have never had to make a link before so set about till i got it to work , the text format you write appears on the back room copletely different only the link text is displayed , copy lee or marks message by clicking on the quote button next to the post one , this will display the link in the text format it is sent , do not add the quotes , finally so as not to appear a "sid" send your test posts to a very old thread , hope this helps

Sorry i think i have got my wires crossed , though we was talking about links
Old LAS posts are useful for something! - Big Vern
Good idea Pete, picked an old LAS post to practise, it now works, don't know what I was doing wrong.

Re: Can anybody read the Windscreen chips post? - Andy Whitworth
Vern,

I did a "View Source" on your original posting and I can see your link in the HTML page.

The mistake you made was missing off the end double-quote after the target= bit.

you had :-

target="_blank>

when you should have had

target="_blank">

note the extra double quote - without this browsers will get very confused and that's why the link didn't appear.

You were close.
HTML tips?? Wot no cars? - Big Vern
