I'm interested in getting a scooter for london and have sse a new Yamaha Majesty 250. It's 3 years old and they want £2000. It is in a shop. Is this worth looking at and what things might give trouble ie battery? Any ideas welcome. Cheers, Mike

If new then it should come with the full manufacturers warranty which is two years unlimited milage on bikes, not sure if it is only one year on scooters though. They would probably be willing to change the battery to make a sale as you can get bike batteries for around a tenner retail if you shop round.
Bikes tend to survive storage much better than cars, so it would not put me off buying if I wanted the bike and the price was right.

Cheers Tom. Not sure if they are offering a guarantee as the bike is three years old. Presumably this would have expired after a year. As you say, it may be worth checking out.Mike

I might have misunderstood your post Mike, I was under the impression that it was brand new and had been in the dealers possession for three years for whatever reason.
